Delhi University Admissions 2025: Phase CSAS portal from July 8; first allocation list on July 19 | Education News

The University of Delhi will begin the second phase of its undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025, under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) on July 8. As per an official press release, candidates who have already completed the first phase of the process are required to log in at ugadmission.uod.ac.in to select their preferred combinations of programmes and colleges.

The window for filling preferences will remain open until 11:59 pm on July 14. After this deadline, preferences will be automatically locked. The university has also allowed fresh candidates to register, keeping both Phase-I and Phase-II open until July 14. Applicants have been advised to carefully prioritize their preferences while submitting them.

In addition, a one-time correction facility has been introduced for those who have completed Phase-I. This correction window will be available from Sunday until 11:59 pm on July 11, enabling candidates to edit their application forms. However, changes must be made in a single submission as the form cannot be reopened once submitted.

This year, the university is offering 71,624 undergraduate seats across 79 programmes in 69 affiliated colleges. To make the admissions process more flexible, DU has revised its subject combination criteria — students can now qualify with either one language and three subjects or two languages and two subjects, and the combination yielding the highest CUET score will be considered. The university has also done away with the earlier requirement of securing a minimum of 30% in the CUET language paper for BSc (Honours) courses.

A new ‘auto-accept’ feature has been added to prevent candidates from unintentionally losing their allotted seats due to delayed acceptance on the portal.

Officials noted that the CUET-UG framework has widened the university’s applicant pool, attracting more students from small towns and varied educational boards, thus promoting greater inclusivity. The CUET-UG 2025 witnessed a record 13.5 lakh applications, with English emerging as the most preferred subject (8.14 lakh), followed by the General Test (6.59 lakh) and Chemistry (5.7 lakh).
