Which subject has the highest lowest applicants?

CUET UG Results 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will on July 4 release the CUET UG 2025 results for over 13 lakh students. The examination is for those students who want to take admission to undergraduate courses in the participating universities of the country. Once the results are declared, Delhi University will also start the second phase of the CSAS portal, thereby giving students a chance to edit their application and college preference list.

But before the CUET results are announced, you might be interested to know which subjects in the CUET UG have the highest and lowest number of applicants.

According to last year’s statistics, English has the highest number of applicants with 10,07,645 registered and 8,22,518 appeared. The second highest number of applicants is in Chemistry with 7,02,050 registered applicants and 5,61,719 appeared in CUET UG 2024.

The CUET UG final answer keys were released on July 1. A total of 27 questions across all subjects and sessions have been dropped from the final answer key of CUET UG 2025. As per the marking scheme, for the dropped questions, all candidates who appeared for the exam will be given five marks irrespective of whether the question has been attempted or not. And, for those questions, where more than one option is found to be correct, candidates who have marked any of the correct options will be awarded five marks.

The provisional CUET UG answer keys were released on June 17 and NTA had allowed the candidates to raise grievances against them by June 20. For multi-shift papers, raw or actual marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts and sessions will be converted to NTA score. The NTA score of CUET UG 2025 is valid for admission to the academic year 2025- 26 only.
