BSEB Bihar Board 12th Result: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) today (March 23) announced the results for the intermediate (Class 12) board exams. Students who appeared for the BSEB inter exams will now be able to check their score at the official website — bsebinter.org, results.biharboardonline.com.

This year, as well, BSEB becomes the first among the state boards and national boards to declare the Class 12 inter exam results. The pass percentage this year increased to 87.21 per cent for all the streams combined. The pass percentages in science, arts and commerce are 87.80 per cent, 86.15 per cent  and 94.88 per cent respectively.

Do Class 10 and 12 results come on the same day?

No. While the inter result is announced today, the Bihar board Class 10 matric results are awaited.

What are the passing marks criteria?

As per the new marking scheme releases last year, students are required to score at least 30 per cent of the overall marks to be declared pass. A minimum of 150 marks are required to be declared pass.

Commerce topper Somya Sharma and Rajneesh Kumar Pathak secured 95 per cent, Science topper Ayushi Nandan, earned 94.8 per cent and Arts/ Humanities topper Mohaddesa, scored 95 per cent.

Has the overall pass percentage increased in the past 5 years?

The verdict has been mixed as the board has observed several ups and downs in the overall pass percentage over the past five years. According to the data provided by the Bihar Board, while the pass percentage had increased from 79 to 80 per cent in 2020, 2021 had seen a decline to 78 per cent. However, in 2023 the overall percentage was 83.70 per cent which is an increase of 3.70 per cent from previous year’s 80 per cent. The overall pass percentage this year has increased even more. It is 87.21 per cent this year.
